BIA Force Brand Creation

GOAL: Design brand identity for young women's soccer league. Needed a parent brand and two sub brands, Futsal and Academy.

PARENT BRAND: BIA FORCE

The name, BIA Force, was created in reference to Bia, a female Greek goddess personifying force and power. I took a lot of inspiration from Greek elements in my design. I wanted it to be strong and powerful (shield) with a unique take on Greek design elements. Original idea was the grape leaves crown, but that seemed too common. The shield with the Greek-influenced design symbolized female strength on the battlefield (soccer pitch). The gold for the parent brand is pulled from the weapons of battle at the time.

The speed and force at which Bia entered battle in mythology is referenced in the wind symbols to the sides of 'FORCE.' Reflecting the focused, aggressive play style encouraged in the league.
FUTSAL & ACADEMY

It was important to not make the logo for an all-women's league "feel" too feminine. Strength and power can be displayed in a way that's not stereotypically "masculine." The sub brands were a chance to play with colors/combinations that girls of all ages would find appealing.

Both are very similar to the parent brand, with only a few minor edits that distinguishes them. While the parent brand is one color (gold), the child brands can be immediately recognized by their two-color designs.
